Hello Maryan,
We regret for the inconvenience caused. Please check whether you have installed any other conflicting applications like McAfee, Avast, Norton etc… on your PC, If so please uninstall the conflicting applications.
If not, please  click this link http://aa-download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe to download and run the AVG Remover tool to remove all the traces of the AVG.
1. Please select the AVG products which are shown in the remover tool window and then start removal process.
2. After the remover tool process is successfully finished, restart your computer.
3. After the restart,  manually delete the AVG Remover folder in the C drive of My computer.

I have had AVG for years - it suddenly came back with an error code saying it doesn't have my license # etc.  I decided to re-install…  but now even though I am using the internet to type this - for some reason it is saying I'm not connected to the internet.  Any ideas?

  1. Once uninstalled please use the following links to reinstall your AVG Free program without the AVG Zen Interface.
    Please click on this link. http://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/827218 to determine whether your OS is a 32-bit or 64-bit.
    Once verified please use the following links to download appropriate installer file :
    32- Bit : http://files-download.avg.com/inst/mp/AVG_Internet_Security_x86_744.exe
    64- Bit : http://files-download.avg.com/inst/mp/AVG_Internet_Security_x64_743.exe
    5. Run the downloaded file to start the installation process.
    6. Follow the instructions on your screen.  
    7. Complete the installation and restart your computer.
