Hi Paul, 
For removing the rest of AVG parts, please use our removal tool (http://download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe). Then you can follow instructions in this article (https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?l=en_US&urlname=Download-and-install-AVG-AntiVirus-Internet-Security-or-Premium-Security) to install AVG back.

Hi, I have just up-dated my laptop to windows8.1myavg told my it had to re-install butit gets 1/2way though and stops saying the firewall cannot be removed.  Please help

How do I un-install AVG tottaly so i can re-install it?
