I'd recommend reinstalling AVG http://avgclick.me/howtoreinstallAVG to the latest version in this case.

I have recently renewed my AVG Internet Security subscription and have now tried to update it by following the instructions to Reactivate. Copied and Pasted in the license number and clicked Activate. But nothing seems to happen. Just goes immediately back to the same screen for inputting the license number. There is no information or indication that anything has updated. And there is still an indication that I have the 2013 version Build 3495. Is this correct? How do I check if any update has taken effect?
