In this regard, We recommend using the AVG Uninstall Tool to completely remove AVG Internet Security from your PC if uninstallation via the Start menu did not work or you see the setup is already running message. The AVG Uninstall Tool deletes all AVG Internet Security files from your PC while Windows runs in Safe Mode.

Hi, my laptop failed so I bought a new one.
After some months of not using my laptop (I have been using my work laptop) I received an email from AVG that I hadn’t used AVG for a while and that I had to reactivate it. I downloaded AVG software on the new laptop and typed in the activation code when asked but it didn’t work. On investigation I need to uninstall AVG from my old laptop but obviously I can’t do this as it doesn’t even start up. What now?
