Please open your AVG Internet Security > Hacker attacks > Open Ransomware protection > General (check if you choose 'Smart mode') and select 'Blocked/allowed apps'. If you find your application in blocked status, remove it and add to 'Allowed apps'.

I have just upgraded AVG on my lap top and now all my documents on the desktop are "read only"
This is driving me insane as they are invoices that I use on a daily basis, Im at a point where I just want to cancel…please advise
