So kinly consider to upgrade your AVG to latest version 2016 and check if your issue is resolved.

I shut down my computer every night - when I restart in the morning AVG shows 'not connected' therefore my Realtime Protection is off. I have chosen 'open at login' but it still does not connect. How can I make it connect automatically instead of having to do it manually every day. I have version 2015.0(4822) - Free Version

Sorry but that must be a typo the last tech mentioned it AVG Anti Virus free 2016. The 2016 version is for Windows. For Mac, the latest version of AVG is 2015.0.4822. And we would like to inform you that if it is Mac Sierra you are running, there has been some compatibility issues still which are being analyzed by our technical team and they will be resolved soon. Appreciate your understanding, thank you.

Again I appreciate your quick response and the help. Pretty easy to uninstall…. But, when I followed the link you gave me to re install - it installed the same version 2015.0 (4822)

Thanks for the info - I look forward to the update to solve this problem. In the meantime I'll make it work as best I can. I have been using this app almost from the beginning. I just retired from my web business after 18 years - At year 2 my programmer turned me on to this app. I absolutely LOVE it - it has saved me so much time by being able to copy multiple items instead of having to back and forth so many time.
