Since I received an update to my AVG yesterday, it is using my CPU in excess of 75%, and doesn't stop. I do not run my computer with the intention of only running AVG. It did not do this before the update. When did AVG turn into Nortons?

I understand the inconvenience caused. I am sure we will be able to fix this together. I request you to disable "Enable AVG self protection module" (please open AVG Free Antivirus > menu > settings > Troubleshooting > uncheck Enable AVG self protection module) and check if your CPU usage decreases and also check the AVG programs you have installed on your computer (control panel > program and features).
