Hi, Valerie.
Thank you for reaching us with your concerns. I would request you to uninstall AVG Protection which is the older version of AVG to avoid conflict. Please refer to steps in this link http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-uninstall-AVG on how to uninstall AVG Protection.
Yesterday I renewed my AVG Protection. In the emails I received after the purchase, one email advised me how to renew my subscription as my subscription does not appear in MyAccount. I went into the areas as indicated in the email and put in my new license and clicked "reactivate". It looks like doing that installed AVG Internet Security (again?) as I ended up with two addition icons on my desktop and caused a big issue of getting back on the internet. I also had a window come up saying that I was running two versions of AVG Internet Security and causing a conflict. I now have an AVG Protection icon, AVG Internet Security icon, AVG Tune Up icon and a AVG icon. When I click on the Protection icon it comes up saying Software not protected and then says analyzer disabled and everything else is green. If I go into the AVG Internet Security icon it says I am fully protected. If I go into the AVG icon it comes up identical to the AVG Internet Security icon and say I am fully protected. Should I uninstall one of these programs???
