Hello Kari,
Sorry to hear that you are unable to access websites with AVG Secure VPN turned on in your PC. I see that you have been charged for AVG Secure VPN - Unlimited - 12 Months product but the charge has not reflected in our records. Hence I am going to escalate this case to senior team. They will synchronize this with internal records as soon as possible.
Please keep checking this post regularly to know the status.
In the meantime, please change the location in AVG Secure VPN as per below mentioned steps and check if websites work fine:
1. Double-click the AVG icon on your desktop to open AVG management console (formerly known as AVG Zen).
2. Click the Secure VPN tile.
3. Click Change location, and select your preferred location from the list.
Thank you.
Hi Abirami and thank you for the reply!
I actually forgot to mention I did experiment with switching locations and repeated the experiment; the issue persists. It is inconsistent which is quite puzzling and annoying, this page for example loads fine with the VPN on but on another tab the above mentioned pages do not. Tried a few others: Telkku.com (Finnish online TV guide), TV Tropes (wiki sort of page), VPD (game store), CNN and Iltalehti (webpage of Finnish newspaper/tabloid) all fail to load while Telia (phone etc operator), Google, Washington Post and Amazon.de load more or less normally.
Could this issue be somehow in how VPN works in relation with the Antivirus? There are not really options to tune on the VPN itself so should I try to adjust the Antivirus settings? Everything loads normally the moment I switch VPN off.
Hello,
I recently bought a subscription to Secure VPN after using it for the trial time and everything worked just fine until last night. Antivirus free had a rather large update which I installed and it somehow also installed Chrome as my default browser which I certainly did not want.
When I returned home later and decided to uninstall the unwanted Chrome I discovered that a large amount of websites will no longer load on Firefox when I have VPN running, most of them rather normal such as wikis, webcomics and the Finnish weather institute(!). I have tried to uninstall and reinstall it, no effect. I also repaired the Antivirus installation, no effect. I do not want to switch to Chrome so please don't offer that as a solution.
Well, today there's a new issue, when I tried to start VPN it says "VPN ran into a technical problem. VPN connection could not be established. Need help troubleshooting?"
This is getting quite annoying.

Kari,
Thank you for your efforts. In order to check the issue, we need to uninstall and reinstall AVG Secure VPN. Since your AVG Secure VPN product is not reflected in our records, you will encounter trial pop ups if you uninstall and reinstall it. Hence, I request you to wait until AVG Secure VPN gets synchronized in our records.
Your patience is much appreciated in this matter.
Thank you.
Nevermind, a computer restart fixed that problem but it's still a little disheartening to see these issues pop up after everything went so well for the trial time.

Hi Abirami,
I wanted to let you know that last evening when I tried again with the VPN enabled everything worked again just fine, like before the incident.
Now in the morning when I returned home and checked again I can quite safely say it is working again as it should. I don't know if something was done about it but I'm happy to be able to use the product again with Firefox so thanks to whom it belongs.
