Recurring payment Cancelation

I have an email from AVG stating my subscription has been cancelled, yet the money for same was taken from my account 2 days after the cancellation was confirmed. Not a business you can trust, have written direct to the UK address requesting refund, I am still awaiting the refund and acknowledment of the letter.
