Recycle Bin File Shredder

Ok fellas, figured it out.  Few weeks back I got a product update notice, which required a new download installation file.  Apparently the new version overwrote some of the old version, but not all.  Since I have a yearly subscription, I figured my license would transfer over after installing the new program I was prompted to.  Long story short, uninstalled the newer version (which wouldn't allow me to uninstall the older version as the installation files were corrupted), rebooted.  Went to product license page, downloaded version attached to my license, reinstalled and problem fixed.

I'm kinda put off that as a yearly subscriber my license does not cover newer versions of the software just released a few months after I renewed my subscription.

But hey, I guess it is what it is.  At least it's working again.

Not sure if others are having this issue, but since the last major update the recycle bin file shred option has been inoperable.  Have been getting a connection error stating that the file cannot be shredded because the "connection is offline" each time I've attempted to make use of this feature.

Thank you for the information. You are using the AVG 2016 version, am I right?
You can check the version information by clicking on "Support" option on the AVG Internet Security dashboard.

Right click on Recycle Bin, selected "Shred content with AVG".

Please let us know the version of AVG Internet Security that you are using.
Also, let us know how you perform the shredding of recycle bin files?
Is it going into recycle bin and selecting the files or from the right click option on recycle bin?
