I anticipated needing to re-install but I thought that I ought to alert you about the problem beforehand in case you can do something about it to stop it happening to others. Having re-installed it I now notice that "you have basic protection" is back to green whereas prior to the re-install it had been showing as red. Perhaps I need to be aware of this turning to red in the future as a sign that I might need to re-install. As expected, the re-install seems to have sorted this problem out.

Hi,
My AVG Antivirus Free seems to be running normally but the AVG icon on my taskbar has a red warning balloon with a large exclamation mark saying "You are unprotected". I have run a Smart Scan and, also, requested a repair in case some file might have been corrupted but the red warning balloon has not gone. I am running Windows 10 Home on a 64 bit OS.
Any thoughts on this issue?
