Hi Neil,
We'll certainly check & clarify this for you.
To further look into this, we request you to share us a screenshot of the Network Profiles window clearly showing the red circles with X marks.
You can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on Answer & then click on the Image [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.
Thanks in advance!

I go Settings > Full Protection > Enhanced Firewall in AVG Internet Security. In the List of Network Profiles, a small red circle with a black X appears next to some of the entries, such as ProtonVPN TUN and SecureLine Wintun. Does the red circle with the X in it mean that there is a conflict between ProtonVPN and AVG Enhanced Firewall? Or does it mean that AVG Enhanced Firewall ignores what is happening on these networks? Ultimately, I just want to know what the red circle with the X in it mean? Is it a problem I need to worry about?
Thank you for sharing the screenshot, Neil.
Let me clarify this to you.
Network profiles allow you to define network profiles based on the networks you are connected to. The profiles monitor all communication between your PC and the web.
Since the previously associated networks are not connected and active, it is showing the red symbol which indicates those are all not connected to your PC now.
