'refused to connect' message after installing AVG on smartphone

If you are using AVG AntiVirus free, please uninstall it and verify if the issue is resolved.

I uninstalled AVG AntiVirus as you suggested, and still I could not connect so obviously it was not an AVG problem! It was easily resolved by resettting the router and then I re-installed AVG, all now works perfectly.

Hello, I installed AVG on my smartphone yesterday - just basic security, not VPN - & this morning cannot connect to certain websites, including Amazon & Google. Just get a 'Amazon/Google refused to connect' message. Is this AVG or unrelated? How do I solve this, please?
