I too have been receiving (after a recent windows update (OS Build 18362.959) the Threat Blocked message:  "We've blocked Reg-MSI_Inventory.exe because it was infected with IDP.ARES.Generic

The File path (and Process) was C:\Windows\Temp\Inv2E59_tmp\RegMSI\Reg=MSI_Inventory.exe

When I looked in Windows\Temp I could find no such file.  I searched before clicking Move to Virus Chest.  
After clicking "Move to Virus Chest" and restarting my computer, I received the same alert a few minutes after windows started.
