Thanks for your help, TREND MICRO did not want to leave, it took awhile to get it completely off the computer, but that was definitely the problem.  Kathie

I am using a toshiba tablet.  AVG Internet Security was purchased for 2 computers, 2 year coveragee in 4/2015.  The computer was already having virus issues and ultimately, I had to have the hard drive scrubbed then my docs etc. reinstalled.  This was done by Geek Squad, and because it's simply what they do, they installed Trend Micro security which was what I was using when I got the viruses; I don't trust Trend Micro to be effective, I will not use it.  So, I got out my AVG info, I have the license number and all the other info.  I have tried repeatedly to install the AVG.  I am able to input the license number but the "INSTALL NOW" button remains grayed out and I can't proceed to installation.  I'm not getting any error message from AVG.  Is it possible I have to uninstall Trend Micro first?  And what would be the ramifications of uninstalling that if I were unable to proceed with the AVG installation?
