I tried reinstalling my AVG as directed from my previous question and received the error 0xC0070005 The added waitable object already existed in the collection.
I ran the remover and AVG clear as directed prior to installing.

I had the same problem. Here's what worked for me. First get your current product license from AVG. Not from any recent or older emails, get it from the AVG site.
Install AVG from the latest download. When asked to enter login info, do not! Look in the lower left corner for an Enter License link. Click that instead. When asked, enter the license key you got from the AVG site.
When I did this the installation was successfull.
