I have had to reinstall FTM on my PC and when I go to do a search a message comes up with "not connected to internet". The program worked fine previously and when I go to look at windows firewall it tells me it is managed by AVG. Any answers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have tried what you recommended but but luck? Have you got any more suggestions?

If the issue doesn't get fixed even after disabling AVG protection then the issue is not due to AVG.
I request you to contact your internet service provider to check the issue in accessing the websites.
Please check whether the issue is with particular browser or with all of the browsers?
