AVG Internet Security, VPN, Tune Up and Anti Track. I enabled Remote Desktop and file sharing in the AVG Firewall settings. I tried to block all IP's except the IP I am trying to connect from. Still getting the same error message in NoMachine and unable to connect. Chrome remote desktop showed as online and I was unable to connect to it and now it shows as offline. If I trash it and add it back it shows as online from the other computer but I am unable to connect and then it shows as offline again. Really need this to work. Everything was fine until I installed AVG.
AVG Tune Up put the remote desktop software to sleep. Turning this off and keeping them awake solved the problem if anyone else has an issue like this.
Hi George,
Thank you for contacting AVG Community Forum. I see you are facing issues with your home PC after installing AVG Ultimate. I am sorry for the inconvenience. Could you please share us the screenshot of the page (https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=AVG-Create-screenshot) which shows any error message while connecting to your home PC?
You can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on Answer & then click on the Image [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions. Thanks in advance.
I was using NoMachine and also chrome remote desktop to use my home PC. After I installed the AVG Ultimate it stopped working. I uninstalled the AVG software and it no longer works. What settings do I have to change so that I can use my home PC from a different network?

Hi George,
Thank you for the reply. I am sorry your issue still persists. I would suggest you to try with the other network and let us know the outcome. Thank you!

Thank you for writing back to us, George.
Could you specify the name of the AVG program you uninstalled? Was it AVG Internet Security?
If yes, we request you to reinstall it onto your remote machine. Then, refer to this article and temporarily disable the individual shields/components of your AVG Internet Security one by one to narrow down the cause.
Keep us updated.
I just got chrome remote desktop to work on the local network. I will try from the other network on friday. I would rather use NoMachine because chrome has issues with the audio not working. I will keep trying to figure it out.
