Removal of AVG from my computer

Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
We request you to view in C:\ drive and go for Program folders and delete only AVG folders.
Restart your PC and try installing the other AVG program.
Please let us know the status of it.

I am trying to install a different virus protection program but it states I have to uninstall AVG first. When I look for AVG it doesn't show up in my programs. How do I uninstall it if I can't find it?
