Remove adware NowUSeeIt?

We are sorry to know that your device is infected with adware.  You may start receiving some advertisement popups if any adware programs get installed in your computer unknowingly when you install any other legitimate programs. Please note that there are new variants of malware developing everyday and our developers are working round the clock to add all those virus definitions to our database. Are you using a latest version(2016) of your AVG program? Did you check for the program in the 'control panel' list of installed programs and tried uninstalling? We also request you go to 'advanced settings' of your web browser and then 'reset' your browser once and then disable/delete the extensions which you do not use. Follow these instructions and please let us know the status. Thank you.

Does anyone know how to remove the adware NowUSeeIt

Thank you for your response and suggestions.  I had already tried to uninstall the program through the control panel but each time I tried to uninstall the process mysteriously gets cancelled.  I use Firefox as my browser and I am unable to locate the "reset" you suggested, but I do not have any add-ons or extensions.  The NowUSeeIt program is still showing up as I use the browser.
