TuneUp has several functions. Maybe you need a dedicated software to find and delete the duplicates present in your computer. This type of software is often more efficient.

You could try Duplicate Media Finder http://duplicate-media-finder.kdo-rg.com.
It can manage your photo collection and it can delete duplicate/similar photos.

Hi! I'm a new user of the TuneUp software.  Re:  the Duplicate Finder – does the software "discern" that not only are the file names identical, but are also an exact size match? I am particularly concerned about losing any photos that may have the same name but are different images. I wouldn't want to "mass delete" any unique ones by accident.

Thanks for the fast reply.  OK, so I will need to take care, or use another software app, for this sorting process.  Have a good weekend.
