Remove Firewall Component

Guys,

Your firewall is too intrusive for my needs. I have uninstalled it previously but I guess in any of the updates you reinstalled again, without my consent. In the personal scope,I have spent two hours trying to figure out I can's share my screen with my TV and it was your program. In my business scope - I'm a software developer it prevent things like IBM Integration Bus, MQSeries and many other software to work well - that's why I have previously removed it -. Now I'm trying to remove it but I can where you have hide that option. Can you help me?

P.D.
And please respect users decisions, if the component is no longer installed DO NOT install it again

Hello Balasubramanian

Yes, I can assure you the component was reinstalled with an update. I don't know if it was one, two or three months ago but it happened. I found an easier way to uninstall the firewall: run the uninstall option from windows programs at Control Panel and then choose change. Thanks any way. About testing if I can share or not adjusting the network profile, sorry but I have uninstalled the firewall before test. Anyway I think share it that way most be quite common and the ports for this are not open by default in your application I guess that is an improvement point for your software along with RESPECT user previous settings when update.

Best Regards

Hello Fabrizio,

It is not possible for the Firewall component to install automatically.
Do you confirm that after recent update, it got installed automatically?
In the latest version, you can see the new settings. However, for uninstalling the components it is necessary to get into old settings.
Open AVG Internet Security program interface. Click on "Menu–>Settings–>General–>Troubleshooting".
Scroll down to the bottom and you will be able to see the option as "Open old settings".
Click on it and select "components". Click on "Enhanced Firewall" and you will see the drop down with options to uninstall the component.

Thanks Balasubramanian for the offer but the screen sharing is not the only application that conflicts with your firewall and is the one I use less often. Regards

We understand your concern, Fabrizio. It isn't recommended to keep the firewall disabled, as the Firewall component protects your computer against emerging threats & hackers.
If you re-consider, please reinstall Firewall component by following the same steps that you've performed to uninstall it.
Once it is installed, please 'open old settings' & select component (left pane) - Click on Customize beside Firewall - Policies - Enable 'Internet Connection sharing' by checking it - Ok.
Please try the above step & let us know if it helps.

Since you can't share the screen of your TV, I request you to change the network profile of AVG Firewall.
In components, click on "customize" of enhanced firewall and in network profiles, change the profile as "private" for your network connection.
Try sharing the screen of your TV and inform the status here.
