Hello Fritz,

We are sorry for the inconvenience caused.
Have you tried following the instructions as mentioned in this article: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Enable-or-disable-add-ins-in-Office-programs-3e533d0f-a6cf-44b7-b6b4-3d9185b5e025 to remove a add-on from Outlook?

I still run Outlook 2003 on Windows 10.  It works perfectly well, and does what I want; don't need any new fan-dangles.  With the latest AVG Internet Security (Unlimited) there is an AVG Toolbar in Outlook.  I do not use the Junk Mail folder (I always ask myself why? I still have to look in the junk folder to see if it really is junk before deleting it; so I do this in the Inbox folder; no need to possibly miss a valid email in a separate folder).  I do want AVG to scan my emails for viruses, etc., however I would like AVG to stop loading (or opening) its Toolbar every time when Outlook starts.  I can close the Toolbar manually, but it opens every time Outlook starts.

@Balasubramanian: Thank for your reply.  Please note that I am talking about Outlook 2003 which is quite different than your suggestion which is for Outlook 2007.
I have tried to remove Add-ins, for which there are 2 places in Outlook 2003, COM Add-ins and Application Add-ins, but there were none to remove.
I have tried to deleted the AVG Toolber, via Tools-Customize-Toolbars.  This works until Outlook 2003 is re-started, then the AVG Toolbar appears again.
I will appreciate any other more relevant advice.  Thank You.

Thank you for trying those instructions.
In this case, you can try uninstalling AVG Anti-spam feature and check whether the toolbar is getting removed from Outlook.
Please let us know the version of AVG that you are using so we can provide exact steps.

I had not mentioned that I had tried the uninstalling of AVG Anti-Spam.  Unfortunately that also uninstalls the email virus scanning, which I of course I do want to keep.
In any case I have AVG Iternet Security Unlimited.
Perhaps, is there a small fix.exe that you might have to simply remove the AVG Toolbar in Outlook 2003?

Thank you for the information.
In this case, we have to escalate the case to senior team inorder to check whether there is any steps to remove only the AVG Anti-spam toolbar from Outlook.
Please keep checking the post to know about the status.
Your patience is much appreciated.
