Remove popup ads from paid version of AVG

Hello Matthew,
I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issue with AVG promotional pop ups. In this case, you can put your AVG Internet Security in silent mode (open AVG Internet Security > menu > settings > general > check the box for Silent mode and click OK). If the issue still persist, please contact us again with the screenshot of the pop up page to assist you better.
Best regards,
Alok.

I pay for AVG full protection. I would like to disable the annoying popup ads like "anyone can see what you do online" and "your PC suffers from unnecessary clutter".

In settings -> general -> popups, my durations are set to: Info 3s, Updates 1s, Warning 20s, and Alert 20s.

These ads last for well longer than 3 seconds, but they are not telling me about "important events that require my action" nor are they informing me about "malware incidents and other problems."

These ads frequently pop up at the worst times (during video games) and slow my computer down.

I'm already paying for full protection - please let me disable ads for your other paid products!

From browsing other similar requests, it seems that this is not a feature for my version of AVG. If so, I'd like to add my voice to AVG's customers who find this business practice extremely annoying. If this is not resolved, I will likely switch antivirus software when my AVG subscription expires.

I don't have any other version of AVG nor AVG PC tuneup installed.

Matthew, if you enable the silent mode you will get less number of popup alert from AVG.
You can enable the silent mode and try setting "0" value on the popups settings of AVG.
Please open AVG user interface–>click on Menu–>Settings
To the right of general you can find "POPUPS". please click on the arrow which is on the right side.
Setup the value as "0" for the Information popups.
By setting this the duration of the popup appearance will be very less, however you will keep getting the marketing popups.
Our developers are working to find the best and effective option for stopping the AVG marketing popups.
This will be implemented as soon as possible. Your patience is much appreciated.

In silent mode, will you still get the notifications that avg has blocked a virus ?
