having same problem I got the free tril 3 days ago and want to remove it and I get
AVG\Secure VPN\unins000.msg is missing.Please correct the problem or obtain onother copy

Did you get the message to uninstall AVG Secure VPN program or other VPN application?

I am trying to remove the AVG Free Trail software but it says I cannot remove it until I remove the Secure VPN program - which of course I did not purchase. I am using Windows 8.1 but cannot remove AVG from the Control panel. Please help -Thanks

Yes - After removing the other AVG components (that would allow me to remove them on Control Panel), when I try to remove the last AVG program I receive an error telling me that I must remove the AVG Secure VPN first. -however I did not purchase it and it never appeared to be enabled when displayed in the dashboard.
