Removing a file from quarantine

Thanks for your response.
I have been through the restore procedure that you outline several times earlier today, before raising the problem with you.  Each time AVG displayed "Whoops, an error. Cannot restore".
As the file had disappeared from the directory, I  applied a little lateral thinking and tried to undelete the file.  This worked, but AVG would not let me move or run it.  It was locked, and clearly still quarantined.
I then turned off AVG protection, moved the file to the correct directory, and ran it.  Now unlocked.
Turned on AVG and file runs as normal.  Problem appears to have been solved.

AVG has suddenly quarantined a file that I have been using for a long time, installed from a recognised source.  In trying to un-quarantine it I get "an error has occurred" and nothing happens. Is there any way out of this?

Thanks for your response.
