Chrome plating is generally considered harmless, and chromium (III) is a naturally occurring species that's usually considered to be a nutrient. By contrast, the EPA has stronger opinions about things like chromium (VI).
Chromium (http://guides.uufix.com/how-to-remove-chromium-browser-from-pcs/) isn't usually a virus, given the circumstances though it's possible that you have come across a Trojan horse program embedded into the chromium program, since uninstalling it normally didn't work you could try to use a powerful uninstall program like revouninstaller to try and force it off of your computer. If that fails I would use a more powerful anti-virus program like Malwarebytes and see if that turns up anything.
You need to uninstall everything which uses it - Since Chromium can be used for UX, it could be any software on your computer.
You could use something like Sysinternals process explorer to see what processes are using it.
t get rid of it. I tried uninstall and it removed it from my program list but it is still on my computer. It has slowed it down to the poing where i can't do anything. I don't use it but somehow its still in the background. PLEASE someone please help me. I doesn't show up in my task manager either.
