We regret for the inconvenience caused. You could try adding the whole installation folder of steam application to AVG's exceptions list as described in this link and verify if the issue is resolved.

Ive installed this program about maybe 2 years ago, and it worked fine. When I was FORCED to update to win 10, this program decided that I need an upgrade.....
Which brings me here today... This program is terrible. I want to uninstall it because it flags my Steam files as "Suspected malware" and every time I go to take them out of quarantine, it puts them right back in there. I dont have time for that, because it is timely.
Give me a sure fire way to get this program off my laptop and erase it from the memory of my life and laptop.
