Hello Ian.
We'd be glad to help you with installing and activating the latest version of AVG TuneUp. We really appreciate you taking time to share your valuable feedback about how the AVG subscriptions should appear in AVG MyAccount, we've forwarded it to the concerned team. Regarding your active subscriptions, you do have an active license for AVG PC TuneUp (2 computers), which is valid till 25th May 2021. It can be used on two devices running on Windows OS.
To determine whether you are using a latest version of AVG TuneUp or older version, please share a screenshot (https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=AVG-Create-screenshot) of AVG TuneUp user interface that you are looking at. It seems the activation is pending for AVG TuneUp which is the reason you are being asked to renew or Buy now.
We await your response to assist you further.

When I open my account on your web site, ‘my subscriptions’ show that I have a licence for AVG TuneUp for 2 devices for 2 years, expiring on 21st May 2021.
When I launch TuneUp from my desktop, it comes up with a message telling me that my ‘trial’ has expired.
When TuneUp launches and I go to ‘Help’ and select ‘Activate Product,’ it opens a window inviting me to input my licence. After I have input the licence provided in ‘My Subscriptions,’ I get a message telling me that the licence is not recognised. There are numerous messages telling me to ‘Buy now’ which I am ignoring because I have a valid current product licence.
I am not particularly computer literate and rely upon the products I buy from AVG to keep me safe and functioning. I like the clarity of the AVG interface and the way it normally operates.
Equally, I do not want to ‘over-buy’ products when my understanding is that I already have adequate coverage. It may be that I have not yet activated or downloaded this product and that is the reason why it will not accept the licence number.
I would be grateful if you could confirm that I currently have a valid licence for 2 devices for 2 years, ending 21/05/2021. And how I can tell whether I am using the latest purchased version.
While writing, I feel I should draw your attention to another misleading message. On my account, the list of products bought shows not only what is current, but also those which have expired and been updated or replaced. However, these expired products also show a ‘Buy Now’ button. For anyone not sure of their product cover, this could lead to ‘over-buying’ and unnecessary duplication. While this may be good for AVG business, it is not good or fair to customers, who may be confused about what cover they have for perhaps more than one device.
Surely it should be possible to have a ‘Buy now’ button live only on the product that has not yet been updated or replaced. It would also be good if the date expired items listed in the profile could have a different background colour to show that they were historical and not the currently licensed products.
