This reply is not very useful to me as I am already fully aware of the options and posted here due to the limited response available on weekends. But thanks anyways, it may be useful to someone who views your reply.
I have just recently (12/31/2014) bought the AVG Ultimate and installed it on my windows 7 machine and used the AVG Zen program to install it on a laptop. Bothe machines had AVG installed on them already from previous purchases with licences that were soon to expire. I have two recurring problems with these computers since purchasing the AVG Ultimate and using the AVG Zen program.
1. Both computers are giving notifications that my licence is about to expire and to renew now and I cannot find a new licence key from my purchase of AVG Ultimate. I have looked in my account online etc.so that I might renew the key in the AVG dashboard but all I find is my old product keys.
2. I am getting notifications in my windows action centre that there is no virus protection or firewall running on these computers but when I open the avg Dashboard from the system tray the AVG dashboard says that "you are protected"
As a side note I was in a chat with AVG customer account support person who terminated the chat before responding to all my questions, which I felt was quite rude.

For help on this issue please try reinstall(uninstall all AVG products and than install them back from new packages which can be found in AVG MyAccount) AVG according to http://kb.avg.com/articles/en_US/How_to/How-to-reinstall-AVG .
