Renewal of AVG Internet Security for £74.99 - I cannot afford it, I want my money back!

I purchased a reduced version of AVG internet security on 3 March 2019.

I was unaware of this at the time, but this was an automatically renewing subscription. I was also unaware that it was for ten devices. I own one device on which I would use this software.

I'm not sure I ever even activated it.

I receive a notification today that I have been charged £74.99 to renew it for another year. This is extortionate.

I looked back through my emails and yes, AVG did warn me about the renewal, but the email got lost in my spam folder. I am sure AVG know exactly what they're doing ripping people off like this. It disgusts me, frankly.

As soon as I get home, I am uninstalling AVG antivirus and installing a different software, after careful research into companies which don't misell products.

I am also telling my elderly relatives to whom I've recommended AVG to uninstall it as well. I'm a student and can't afford it - they can afford it even less.

Has anyone else had success with getting their money back from AVG?
