I understand the inconvenience.
May I know whether you are entering all the characters of the license number in uppercase along with the dashes?
To get our technical support numbers, click on this link: https://support.avg.com/support_contact_form?l=&retUrl=support_sales, click on "technical support tab, enter the details, and you should get the option as "Phone".
Click on it to get the phone numbers.

I am trying to renew my AVG license. I received the email with the new registration number but it will not take it. My credit card has already been charged. I am unable to locate a phone number for customer support.
