Renewal processed - is download req'd or just load code as I have avg ulitmate

I have AVG Ultimate, and just renewed my subscription. Sales sent link and site has downloads, Must I download programs I already have

We're glad to clarify this for you.
Usually, the renewal will be applied to the program automatically. Sometimes, we may need to reactivate it manually due to few synchronization issues. 
To check the subscription status : Open AVG Internet Security - Menu - My subscriptions.
