The version that you have got installed should be the latest 2017 version and the activation steps are different for it.
Please open the AVG user interface and if you have already logged in using the my account credentials then the email address will appear on the interface.
If that is the case, please click on "Menu–>About–>Subscriptions".
You will have the option as "Log out from account", please click on it.
Once this is done, you will get the option to enter the license number.
Please click on it and enter the license that you have purchased.

But I did not activate it at the time. I have 10 days left but find I cannot seem to reactivate. I have signed up to create an account. I have received an email 'How to activate' but it does not seem to happen. Please can you advise.
