Yesterday I updated to the latest version of AVG on a windows 8 machine. Everything had been going okay before that, but when I updated, AVG Zen was installed without a prompt even asking if I wanted to install it. Previously we chose not to use AVG web protection because it was not reliable and made every browser we used it with very unpredictable. Within two hours of installing 2016/Zen, the computer crashed in a blue screen. I restarted and within another hour, I got another blue screen. Now I cannot have more than one tab open on any browser (Chrome, FireFox, IE) without a blue screen crash happening. To be clear - that is one browser at a time with one tab open. I can only run ONE program at a time in order to prevent blue screen.

I tried uninstalling Zen, but when I did that, the entire AVG program was uninstalled. During the period AVG was uninstalled (about four hours), I ran several programs and even opened multiple browsers with multiple tabs. No blue screens. Of course, when I was done with that, I scanned with antimalware programs and F-Secure online scanner before reinstalling AVG. When I reinstalled AVG, there was no option to not also reinstall Zen. My blue screen issues then resumed.

Please advise.
