Repeated Quarantine Pop-Ups

I'm assuming that deleting all my Temp files will effect more than just AVG, so I guess I need to figure out if I need any of my other temp files.

You said that this is an ongoing issue. In other cases where you've seen this issue, is there actually a virus on my computer? Has it been quarantined? Or is the message an error?

I am currently having the same issue and will try the remedies above, but thought I should point out that a free AVG trial period has just finished and wondered if this was an initiated prompt, along with "your trial has ended and you are no longer protected" message to get the customer to panic into the full version.  So reinstalled AVG free, but some residue changes from the trial seemed to be imbeded and the messages continue.

New AVG free download won't function, only shows residue message from deleted trial

Image appears after clicking scan.  No recorded scans for 1 month

Hello I am repeatedly getting a pop-up that says:

"THREAT SECURED! We've safely locked this file in your quarantine.
URL:Mal
in https://play.google.com/
…86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe"

However, when I click the menu button and look at my quarantined it is empty and says "0 threats." Any idea what is happening and why I keep getting the pop-ups?

Please download and run AVG Clear tool: https://share.avg.com/steam/PSP/AVG2017/AVG_Clear.exe . This tool will help with removing antivirus component of AVG 2017 and its traces.
Open tool
User Account control - click "Yes"
Windows safe mode - click "No"
Choose installed version (AVG Free, AVG Internet Security)
Click "Uninstall"
Click "Restart computer"

After that try reinstalling the AVG Anti Virus FREE from : http://avgclick.me/InstallFree
Once AVG Anti Virus FREE is installed please check the issue and attach us the screenshot http://avgclick.me/getscreenshot of the detection message if possible.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused. This is an ongoing issue. To fix this, please update the AVG Program once and go to Run window (press windows key and R key simultaneously) and type the following comments to delete the folders.

1. Type “Temp” and press enter, remove all the files.
2. “%temp%” and remove all the files.

Once you done this, please reboot the computer and check the issue.
