Require a restart on update? Seriously?!

Hi Nonya,

There is option for that in AVG, it is hidden in Advanced settings.

Thanks

This is 2014, welcome! You are requiring that your users restart their computers for an update? Really?! Now this wouldn't be so bad if you gave us a choice, but nope, there is not a "Don't remind me again" option.

As a user this is what it makes me think of your program
-Sloppy programming
-Crappy user interface
-little to no planning

I have uninstalled and will not come back.

(Since this is good-bye and I don't be coming back to read any responses, let me preemtively answer all of your attempts to justify why AVG would have it's software do this"

Nope, a restart isn't required on other, just as good anti-virus software, so…why have it on this one? And it isn't because AVG does it better or the 'right way' and those other ones just cut corners, not true. Like I said, welcome to 2014, your program shouldn't require a restart for your update.

Nope, it's not best practice to not have a 'Don't remind me again option', that is just programmer arrogance. And don't even try to say that if they don't have it as it is, no one will restart and finish the update, you know why that is crap? Read what I said before, you shouldn't be requiring an update anyway.)

So, that's it.

Bye.
