Reseting Avg internet security password

Hello Paul,

If you have forgetten the password to change AVG settings then it cannot be reset.

You need to uninstall and reinstall AVG to fix this issue.

You can uninstall AVG from your computer control panel and click on this link http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Download-and-install-AVG-Protection to install the latest version.

Hi All,
 
my illustrious son has a password lock on the avg program menu which cannot be remembered.
We cannot even perform a scan without it. We have tried numerous suspected possibilities.
Is there a way to reset this password please?

Thanks for replying.

Unfortunately Avg remover doesn't work. Have tried a number of times, it says it can't find any AVG products, I have used the do anyway button but it hasn't worked. It can't be done through Win10 remove Apps as to uninstall needs the password as it thinks it's malware.
