Restart my laptop shuts off

Hi Susan, sorry to know that , this issue may be related to your Laptop hardware, AVG program has no effect on shutdown or restart options. please contact your laptop manufacturer to solve the issue. Thank you

Any suggestions why my laptop doesnt restart on restart?  It just shuts down.
