Hello Nona,
We regret the inconvenience caused.
We're sorry to inform you, we can't retrieve USB files once it's deleted by AVG.
AVG will only delete the files if it is a threat/virus. So, if there's any virus/threat in your USB/removal disk, AVG detects them automatically and removes them.
Thank you for understanding in advance.
Hi, I really hope someone can help me. I ran an AVG scan on a USB stick I have which had all the files on. When it had finished the scan, it had wiped all the files off the USB. Is there any way I can retrieve them?
It didn't come up with anything like wanting to reformat the USB, but it did say something to the effect it had removed some Malware I think, not sure of the actual wording.
I have checked the AVG Quarantine which has 2 Win32:GenMalicious-EWM[Trj] Ipk.dll Infected files which are from 2 different folders that had been on the USB.
I've searched in the Recycle Bin & there is nothing from the USB in there.
So, I am now totally stumped as to what do try next.
Nona
