Hello Lee,
The restore issue is already reported as bug and will get resolved soon. If the file that was detected is a false positive, then submit the sample of this file to AVG through this link https://secure.avg.com/submit-sample, so it will be added to AVG Whitelist.
Hello Lee,
I'm sorry to hear about this, please send us a screenshot of the AVG detection to assist you better. You can check the following link to see the instructions about taking the screenshot (http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-create-a-screenshot).
Best regards,

here is an image of the quarantine screen
I cannot restore a file that has been quarantined. I have tried everything (I could find) to get this file restored. Adding the path to the exceptions list. repairing AVG itself. Nothing works. This is just ridiculous. Ive been at it for the last 2 hours.
Im using the FREE version and running it on windows 10. I will add that I have been running this piece of software for 4 years before AVG deemed it a threat.
Does anyone have a fix for this?
Lee, For your info, just in case that you are unaware, you can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.
