Hi David,
Thank for your reaching us via community forum and explaining your concern.
I would like to inform that we do not have the option to roll back to previous version.

The latest AVG Internet security update (20.2.3116) buggered a 32-bit laptop when installed:
-boot time was about 5 mins with most of that time in the blank screen between the BIOS and starting windows, and when finally startup was complete, the firewall and thus the access to the internet was nixed:
- first I got a firewall turned off error, screenshot jpg available but this query tool will not allow any local image - it has to be on a website - ridiculous
- then trying to fix that using the button on the AVG panel, it says enhanced firewall not available. Screens hot also available, see comment about attaching direct images
I appealed to the tech support email address on 2 April for urgent reversal help, and included the images mentioned and one with the various version dates. THEY HAVE NOT REPLIED. piss poor support IMHO, but in recent years despite complaining about it, that's become the norm it seems.
So next day I reversed it myself using recovery from a backup copy I had taken only 3 days before Lucky. The older version worked fine. The update also worked on a 64-bit PC, which is why I've focussed on the 32-bit version.
My point is that there should be reversal process for events like this.
Consequences
- I haven't updated the 64bit laptop also covered by the license
- I may not ever update the 32bit laptop
- unless I get a rational answer to this I will probably change security vendors (the license runs out in a few months).
