Could you share a screenshot (https://bit.ly/30ptlLh) of the unresolved rootkit?
Been there done that...I have done all that has been requested of me by AVG and now every notification has that "ERROR" ICON ...funny because now who can know whgich is an alreat and which isn't....if I go back and look all I see is a long list of scans done but all look like the ERROR I first reported some time ago now. I am told that it's is the new look for AVG notifications...SO I AM TO BELIVE THAT AVG MADE IT THIS WAY BECAUSE IT'S APPEALLING? RUBBISH!!
So now I have an error code which your VPN spat at me this morning when I attempted to turn it back on...now none of the proctucts I pay AVG in subscriptions DO NOT WORK!! And guess what? YOU SUPPORT CHAT IS NOT WORKING EITHER!! Have yoy checked that lately? Or is it just my end?

I have an unresolved ROOTKIT attack which now shows up as an error in History pending "REBOOT". I have two screenshots, one when AVG antivirus detected the ROOTKIT on 11/04/2020 and another showing it is still perhaps active (pending "REBOOT" in Scan History as detected during the Graveyard Shift 11/04/2020. I note also that "History" in "Notifications" area is a newer feature of 'AVG Internet Security' Program now and so may not have been noticed using the previous Program version.
I have done all I can to resolve this and I know AVG's software has too. I have rebooted this machine several times and note no change in the behaviour.
What can you do to help?

When I 'mouse over' the word "Error" i get notification "Action postponed until the next reboot".
What action is that?
