Hello Shelby,

We can check this and sort it out.
Restart your PC and press Windows and R keys together to open RUN command.
In Run window, type as "services.msc" without quotes and press Enter key.
In services window, look for "windows installer" and right click on it.
Select "Start" or "Restart" and then try installing AVG Antivirus free as mentioned (here).
Keep us informed about the status.

Downloaded AVG Antivirus free and installed it 2 or 3 times.  Will not run or come up.  Don't see any AVGUI.exe file.  How do you make this thing run now?
