Running avg on computer start up

hi,
Since AVG updated, the option for AVG to run automatically is gone. I have to manually run it now which is ridiculous!!
Help please!  Can AVG not reinstate this feature. I am a fully paid member but when my licence expires I will be looking at an alternative provider,

Thank you for the confirmation. You can add programs to the startup process and have them launch automatically after you log into your computer. Please let us know the version of Windows OS you are using to assist you add AVG to startup items.

Hello Alan,
AVG will start automatically and run in the background after the PC startup. You can check if AVG is running or not from the system tray icon of AVG. Do you mean you had AVG interface open automatically upon PC startup but it is not working now?
