It is not recommended to run more than one AntiVIrus in computer, as they will create conflict.
Passive Mode in AVG disables all active protection, such as Core Shields and Firewall, so you can use more than one antivirus program at a time without interfering with the performance of your computer.
In Passive Mode, AVG Antivirus still receives all virus definitions and program updates that allow you to manually scan for issues on your PC, but AVG can not actively protect you.
You can disable Passive mode from AVG AntiVirus settings. Follow the below steps to disable passive mode.
Open AntiVirus –> click Menu –> select Settings –> General –> click Troubleshooting –> uncheck "Enable passive mode" option.

My antivirus is about to run out in about a week. I am of a forgetful stage in my life so i added AVG now, i have put AVG on passive mode (no idea what that means or how to take it off when i need to) should i just take it off till the other one runs out?
