One solution may be to instal a new browser. I was using Chrome and I have changed to the AVG secure browser. The popups have gone away.

Hi, I've got the same problem and it's driving me nuts. Every couple of minutes I get this popup, even when I'm not surfing to a specific website (I even got the pop-up when I opened Google.com to do a search).

Hi Adrian,

We're glad to look into this & help you.
For better clarity, share us the screenshot of the threat message that you receive, after clicking on 'See details' option that is available in pop up.
Also, let us know when do you receive the pop up exactly. Is it while accessing the provided site alone or randomly?

Thank you for sharing the screenshot, Mitchell.

Using google I continuously get the following AVG Threat secured message:

We've safely aborted connection on s3.amazonaws.com because it was infected with Other:Malware-gen [Trj].

It then says to Scan My PC but never finds anything.

Is this something I need to do anything about?

Hi Richard:

the details as below;User-added image

Resetting Google Chrome fixed this for me… I'm guessing something in an extension somewhere.

Drove me crazy for 2 Days with the AVG pop and scanning with MULTIPLE other scanners as well.

Reset Google Chrome and AVG pop up free for 16+ Hours.

Hi Luc,

We will help you in fixing this.
Did you reset the Chrome browser and checked the status as mentioned earlier in this post?
Are you using AVG Antivirus free or paid version of AVG Internet Security?
