Hi John,
We understand your concern, we request you to run the AVG Remover http://download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe to completely remove AVG from your computer. Please feel free to contact us for any further assistance with AVG.
Thank you!
I just uninstalled AVG from my computer and there were lots of files left over. I was able to find and delete most of them from my registry and temp folders, but there are still some files in my appdata folders. These files are named "Avg" while all of the other files from this company were named "AVG". Can someone confirm that it is safe to delete the "Avg" files and their contents from my appdata folders?
Hi John,
Yes, you can delete "Avg" folders from our Appdata folder and it is safe. As you have removed AVG from your computer, you can delete all the AVG folders left in your computer. If you face any difficulties, please reboot your computer in Safe mode and delete all the AVG folders. Please click on the link to show how to reboot in safe mode : http://avgread.me/1JwmD6g
Please, feel free to let us know if you require any further assistance. Thank you.
