Hello Jodi,

This shouldn't happen due to AVG.
However, try disabling AVG Internet Security to check the status.
Open AVG Internet Security, click on "Menu–>Settings–>Troubleshooting–>Passive Mode".
Slide the cursor to turn off the protection.
Keep us informed about the status.

I am having trouble saving excel files - I get an error message "your changes could not be saved to (my file name here) because of a sharing violation" I have never gotten these errors before installing AVG. Can anyone help?
